Are you looking for a JOB? Are you a RECRUITER? Are you an HR manager, MANAGER, or small business OWNER? Then this session is a MUST for you.
For the Recruiter, HR Manager, Manager or Business Owner, this session will:
- Provide an overview of why social media is important for organizations to care about
- How it is shifting the corporate landscape forever
- Discuss practical and general applications of social media within organizations
Everyone is a Twitter expert (or at least they think they are) but there are certain corporations that have used it to their advantage vs. letting me, you and everyone else know that you just ate too much jello and feeling all "bloaty".
This session will cover some if not all of the following:
**The basics - how all this shiz got started
**Not only "Enlightening" your network but "Engaging" your network
**How Transparency in the new economy can work on your behalf individually and professionally.
**Dealing with Social "Notworking"
When the economy turns downward, arts organizations and other not-for-profits feel the pinch with particular severity. But even when endowments are shrinking, the business of audience development, customer service, and exciting programming must continue for an arts organization* to survive a recession and thrive in its aftermath.
But with shrinking marketing budgets and skeleton administrative crews, how can you see the growth you need? The short answer: be really good at social media.
THE SESSION IS CANCELED. I APOLOGIZE. I AM SICK AND NOT SURE IF IT IS THE FLU OR NOT. SO GOING TO CANCEL SESSION. I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY AT BAR CAMP. I AM SO SORRY I AM MISSING IT.

The wheel of life is amazing... Your great grandparents were suspicious of the Phone & couldn't fathom how people could blab for hours on the phone. Your grandparents eyed your parent's cell phone as if it were the devil. For most of you, your parents thought your addition to email and IM was crazy & probably said "Nobody talks to anyone anymore!".
